BARAKKA

Barakka is a five-bedroom villa designed in Canggu, Bali. With its design completed in 2022, the project presents a contemporary tropical residence defined by dramatic pitched roofs, exposed structural framing, warm timber surfaces, and expansive glass façades.

Set on a 933 m² plot with a 433 m² building size, the villa offers generous spaces for private living and social gatherings. A large swimming pool, landscaped tropical gardens, outdoor decks, and a separate garden pavilion create a private resort-like environment.

Barakka carries a bold contemporary tropical design language. The architecture combines steep roof forms, black structural frames, timber ceilings, textured concrete, vertical wooden screens, and floor-to-ceiling glass to create a strong yet welcoming identity.

The villa is arranged around a central double-height living area that visually connects both floors. Large glass walls open the interior toward the swimming pool and surrounding greenery, allowing natural light and tropical views to become part of the everyday living experience.

The upper level includes private bedroom spaces alongside a generous entertainment lounge with a billiard table, bar seating, and views over the main living area. Bedrooms are positioned to maintain privacy while remaining connected to balconies, garden terraces, and the natural landscape.

The outdoor area extends across a spacious pool deck with sun loungers, garden seating, and a shaded pavilion. Dense tropical planting, a stone water feature, and warm timber finishes give the property a calm and private resort atmosphere.

The interior concept of Barakka combines warm natural materials with a darker contemporary palette. Timber ceilings, charcoal structural elements, textured grey walls, stone finishes, and wooden screens create depth throughout the villa.

The main living, dining, and kitchen spaces form one open social area beneath the double-height roof. Rust-toned sofas, olive-green seating, timber furniture, sculptural lighting, and built-in display shelves soften the architecture while giving the interior a distinctive character.

The bedrooms continue the same warm and refined material direction, using upholstered beds, timber wall details, neutral surfaces, and large glass openings that frame the surrounding greenery. The bathrooms feature stone basins, textured walls, dark fixtures, wooden vanities, and freestanding bathtubs positioned near tropical garden views.
