Indonesia’s New Bridging Visa for Foreigners

Indonesia has just implemented a new bridging visa for foreigners. This new law has allowed foreigners in Bali to extend their visas without leaving the country.

What is the Bridging Visa?

The bridging visa is a temporary visa. It allows foreigners to stay in Indonesia while getting approved for a different visa. This is helpful for those whose current visa expires soon but whose new visa is still being processed. With the bridging visa, foreigners don’t have to leave Indonesia.

  1. Stay in Indonesia: Foreigners can remain in Indonesia without leaving, even if their visa expires before the new one is ready.
  2. Convenient: Exiting Indonesia and returning is unnecessary, saving time and money.
  3. Flexibility: It gives foreigners more flexibility if they need extra time to finalize their next visa.
